all ATAs are automatically excluded, as they don’t support anything better than G.711, since the telephone sets connected to their FXS ports don’t support the additional frequencies required.

Tesco will be shutting down its VOIP service from 27th April 2010. They will no longer be providing Tesco internet phone and Talk Wi-fi services.
From 27th April 2010 your Tesco internet phone account will be closed and the Tesco internet phone website will not be available. You will no longer be able to access your online account or be able to make calls using your Tesco internet phone.
Fring has finally launched Video Over IP on iPhone‘s and fring video voip for Symbian S60 Series 5.
There is also a fring voip for android but it doesn’t support video yet !
Apparently LG Electronics and Panasonic will be making HDTV IPTV televisions with Skype technology embedded in them, allowing users to make video calls over the Internet without a personal computer !
Since Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone joined O2 in selling iphones in UK there are now four UK iphone networks to choose from and now 3 (three) have followed T-Mobile by launching a hero htc android phone ! However it comes at a price ! £35/m so if you just want Skype/VOIP you might prefer the 3 Nokia E63 for just £10/m and yo can add data for an extra £5/m !
